Drinking tea can reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes

In a research study done in Athens Greece of over a thousand subjects from various Mediterranean islands, long term intake of tea was associated with a significant decrease risk of type 2 diabetes.  In this study black and green tea were beneficial especially when consumed more than three times a week.  Most individuals in the study were drinking tea for over 20 years.

As the data was analyzed, moderate tea consumption of one to 2 cups per day was associated with a 70% reduced risk of type 2 diabetes!

There are numerous studies that suggest drinking green and black tea every day, many of which describe a significant decrease in cancer and heart risk.

So, take this to heart (no pun intended) and make sure you have at least 2 cups of green tea a day.
